J. MALCOLM JONES, JR.
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Jones is Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Florida Capital Group, Inc., and Florida Capital Bank, N.A., a national banking organization headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. He is also a Partner and Managing Member of Sawmill Timber, LLC, which owns and manages Timberland. Additionally, Mr. Jones is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JMJ Capital Holdings, LLC, a family-owned real estate and investment business.
Mr. Jones previously worked for The St. Joe Company as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Land Resources. At the time, The St. Joe Company was the largest private landowner in Florida with over one million acres of land.
MARK F. JOHNSON
Executive Vice President, Director
Mark F. Johnson was promoted to President and COO of Florida Capital Bank, N.A. in March 2016. He previously served as President and CEO of Florida Capital Bank Mortgage. Since his appointment as President and COO of the bank, Johnson has been focused on growing the company’s four core business: mortgage lending, warehouse lending, conventional commercial lending, and specialty banking. In the last year, Florida Capital Bank has made significant investments in technology and human resources that has created an engaging and efficient work environment focused on outstanding service to clients.
Prior to joining Florida Capital Bank in 2006, Mark founded and was President and CEO of Florida Bank Mortgage, a division of Florida Bank, N.A. from 2002 to 2004. From 1976 to 2002, he was employed by HomeSide Lending where he last served as Executive Vice President of Production and Secondary marketing. He is also the past Chairman of the Mortgage Bankers of America Secondary Capital Markets Committee, past member of the Fannie Mae Southeast Region and Residential Funding Corporation Advisory Boards, and a graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from Valdosta State College.
T. KEITH PERRY
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
T. Keith Perry joined Florida Capital Bank as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Previously, Perry served as an Advisor to and later an employee of Commerce National Bankshares of Florida, Inc. from 2012 – 2017. He has also served as the Chief Financial Officer for CenterBank of Jacksonville, N.A., and American National Bank of Florida from 1999-2011, and 1981-1998 respectively. Perry holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of North Florida, where he has also previously taught undergraduate commercial banking.
PHILLIP S. BUDDENBOHM
Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer
Phillip S. Buddenbohm joined Florida Capital Bank in September 2019 as its Chief Credit Officer. Previously, Mr. Buddenbohm served as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Atlantic Coast Financial Corporation from 2013 until its acquisition by Ameris Bancorp in May of 2018, and Chief Credit Officer of Atlantic Coast Bank from 2005 to 2013. Mr. Buddenbohm spent the first 13 years of his career with National Commerce Financial Corporation in Memphis, Tennessee, serving in various roles of increasing responsibility. Mr. Buddenbohm has 26 years of experience in commercial, mortgage and consumer lending, commercial credit administration, and branch services.
PAMELA DAVIS, SHRM-SCP
Senior Vice President-Human Resources
Ms. Davis has over 15 years of banking industry experience in Human Resources. Prior to joining Florida Capital Bank in 2016, she spent 12 years as Vice President, Human Resources at American Enterprise Bank of Florida. She is responsible for comprehensive human resources solutions to mitigate operational risk and support overall bank operations. Direct activities include recruitment, employee engagement, benefits administration, compensation, reward/recognition and other ongoing human resources activities. She holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Florida.
Chief Compliance & Risk Officer
In Ms. Wilson's role, she brings over 30 years of banking, finance, and business law experience to the organization. Perry’s advocacy for small business owners propelled her into leading the bank’s efforts to develop a Community Reinvestment Act program to better support small businesses throughout the Northeast Florida community. Wilson serves as part of a select group of managers chosen to lead Florida Capital Bank into a profitable and community-minded future. She was promoted to the position of Chief Compliance & Risk Officer for Florida Capital Bank in March 2017. While in her previous role as manager of the compliance department, Perry was also asked to take on additional responsibilities for the bank’s enterprise-wide Risk Management Program — a challenge she was thrilled to accept.
J. STEWART BAKER
Managing Director, Banking
In Mr. Baker's role as Managing Director, he oversees the Retail, Specialty, and Payment Solutions banking businesses. In addition to these responsibilities, in 2018 he formed the bank’s Hemp and CBD banking division. For several years Mr. Baker has been at the forefront of Florida’s agricultural hemp movement. In November of 2019, Baker was appointed to the Board of Directors for the Hemp Industries Association of Florida (HAIF). Mr. Baker continues to advocate for Florida’s hemp industry and works diligently with state and national leaders in order to provide safe, compliant banking services to licensed hemp and CBD related business. Mr. Baker brings over 40 years of Florida-based banking experience to the organization. Prior to joining Florida Capital Bank in 2011, he has held various senior level positions in banking including President and CEO of Bank of North Florida.
CHARLES (CHUCK) OWSTON, CMAA
Managing Director, Commercial Banking
Chuck joined the founding shareholder group of Florida Capital Bank in 2005 to assist with raising capital and market development of a statewide commercial bank. He served as President of the Bank Division of Florida Capital Bank, N.A. from 2010-2014. He spent 21 years with Wachovia Bank (now a Wells Fargo Company) where he advised shareholders of middle market companies on optimal capital structures, enterprise value growth strategies, ownership transition, shareholder liquidity options and managing wealth. Chuck has a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance and is a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor (CMAA), granted by the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors. Chuck is a member of the Rollins College, Department of Business Advisory Board.
